The Saltwater Flyrodders of WA was formed in October 2000 and has gone from strength to strength since. The club was designed to give people interested in Saltwater Fly fishing the opportunity to get together and share information.

Everyone is welcome and the club encourages people with little or no experience to come along to club activities and learn from other members. The club is also privileged to have some of the most experienced Saltwater fly fishers in Australia, active members who are only too happy to share valuable information.

The Saltwater Flyrodders of WA meet on the first Tuesday of each month on the banks of the beautiful Canning River, at Rowing WA near the Canning Bridge. The address is 2 The Esplanade, Mt Pleasant. Club meetings start about 7:30pm but come earlier for a chat and a cast. Club meetings vary from guest speaker presentations to slide shows, fly tying, tackle auctions, new product demos or just the opportunity to chat with like-minded people.

The club has a field trip most months, with extended field trips each year.
